"14th Agro Machinery Fertilizer & Seeds Expo Bangladesh", November 05-07, 2026 at ICCB, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Bangladesh’s agriculture sector is the backbone of the national economy, contributing nearly USD 50 billion to GDP and generating employment for millions. The Agro Machinery, Fertilizer & Seeds Expo reflects the country’s ongoing agricultural transformation by bringing together innovation, investment, and policy support under one roof. It highlights Bangladesh’s vast agribusiness potential, strengthens regional and international partnerships, and promotes sustainable growth across the entire agricultural value chain. The increasing use of modern technologies such as reapers, axial flow pumps, power tillers, combine harvesters, and seed fertilizer drills is transforming traditional farming into a more efficient and commercially viable sector. At the same time, the seeds sector plays a vital role in ensuring food security and improving crop yields for 16.5 million farmers. Rapid agricultural modernization and the widespread adoption of hybrid and high-yield seed varieties have expanded the commercial seed market, which reached USD 312.10 million in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 421.48 million by 2030, registering a 6.20% CAGR during 2025–2030. Additionally, the fertilizer industry remains critical to agricultural productivity, with annual demand of 6–7 million metric tons, of which 85–90% is met through imports. In FY2022, Bangladesh used 5.69 crore metric tons of fertilizer, including 2.16 crore metric tons of urea, the most widely used fertilizer in the country.

Industry Overview:

The Agro Machinery, Fertilizer & Seeds Expo reflects Bangladesh’s agricultural transformation by bringing together innovation, investment, and policy support under one roof. The Expo highlights the country’s vast agribusiness potential, strengthens regional and international partnerships, and promotes sustainable growth across the entire agricultural value chain.

Bangladesh’s agriculture sector is the backbone of the national economy, contributing nearly USD 50 billion to GDP and generating employment for millions. The sector supports almost 100 million people, making it essential for food security, poverty reduction, and industrial raw material supply. As the country advances toward modern farming practices, agriculture continues to play a central role in national development. Agricultural mechanization has emerged as a key driver of productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in Bangladesh. The increasing use of modern equipment such as reapers, axial flow pumps, power tillers, combine harvesters, and seed fertilizer drills is transforming traditional farming into a more efficient and commercially viable system. Mechanization is helping farmers reduce labor dependency, improve yields, and optimize production costs across the country. The seeds sector plays a vital role in ensuring food security and improved crop yields for Bangladesh’s 16.5 million farmers. Rapid agricultural modernization, coupled with the growing adoption of hybrid and high-yield seed varieties, has significantly expanded the commercial seed market. According to industry data, the Bangladesh seed market reached USD 312.10 million in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 421.48 million by 2030, registering a 6.20% CAGR during 2025–2030. This growth reflects increasing farmer awareness, technological advancement, and strong policy support. The fertilizer industry is a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s agricultural productivity and food security. With annual fertilizer demand ranging between 6–7 million metric tons, the country relies on imports for approximately 85–90% of its total fertilizer requirement. In FY2022, Bangladesh used 5.69 crore metric tons of fertilizer, of which 2.16 crore metric tons were urea, the most widely used fertilizer. Demand peaks during the Boro season (November to February), the country’s largest rice-growing period, making fertilizer availability a strategic national priority.

The Agro Machinery, Seeds, and Fertilizer segments of the Expo serve as a critical meeting point for manufacturers, importers, distributors, policymakers, and technology providers. The platform enables stakeholders to address supply challenges, explore local production and investment opportunities, exchange knowledge, and promote sustainable input and nutrient management solutions for Bangladesh’s evolving agricultural landscape.
